Level 1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an excellent Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work in our Year One classes to support our teachers to provide an exceptional education. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for someone who is looking to develop further or begin their career as a teaching assistant and join our growing school. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Principal, staff and community of Buckton Fields to provide outstanding learning experiences and support the well-being of our children. The role will include supporting the class teacher, delivering phonics sessions, listening to children read, delivering interventions and supporting small groups of children under direction of the class teacher. Training will be provided for the successful candidate and a commitment to CPD. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable team player who can support our growing school and dedicated staff team.

 

Buckton Fields Primary School is a new two-form entry school, which opened in September 2021 with only two Reception Classes. We are now looking forward to growing our staff team and having Year One for the very first time. We are very fortunate to have a beautiful school building with state-of-the-art facilities and plenty of outdoor space for outdoor learning and sport. We have had a fantastic start since opening with a brilliant, dedicated team, enthusiastic children and supportive families. As part of the Preston Hedge’s Trust, the school is founded on the ethos of ‘Fun, Creativity & Achievement.’ With these as the foundations of our school, the vision for Buckton Field’s is based around sustainability through an eco-curriculum, utilising the local amenities in the community. This role will involve supporting a child with special educational needs on a one to one basis, whilst also promoting independence and inclusivity. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Principal, staff and community of Buckton Fields to provide outstanding learning experiences as part of our growing team. Previous experience of supporting children with special educational needs would be advantageous, although not essential. The role will include supporting a child on a one to level to complete learning activities, working closely with the class teacher and supporting an inclusive classroom environment. Preston Hedges Academy Trust – Finance Officer

Our Central Finance team is at an exciting point in the growth and expansion of the Trust, and we are seeking to appoint an experienced, approachable Finance Officer to join our dynamic Central Finance team.  The successful candidate will be an integral part of the support and growth of our Trust and will assist each school in achieving their vision.

The role will suit someone who is ambitious and forward thinking.  The role will involve working closely with our Senior Finance Officer and Finance Director as well the Central Finance team, Senior Leaders and colleagues across the Trust.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent administration, analytical and organisational skills
  • Highly efficient and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience of Purchase and Sales Ledger and reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and able to produce work at a high level of accuracy
  • Experience of PS Financials or similar finance systems
  • Excellent ICT skills including Excel, Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well as an individual and a team
