Buckton Buddies is the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for Buckton Fields Primary School, founded in October 2021. Our committee is formed of a small group of friendly and fun parents, passionate about enhancing the school experience for families, staff and most importantly the children. We do this by organising events throughout the school year, such as Fetes, Fayres, School Discos and Quiz Nights; giving exciting opportunities not just to raise money, but also for the children and their families to socialise outside of the normal school day.
Our first year was enormously successful, we raised over £3,000 for the school throughout the year and were able to pay for extracurricular activities such as Chicks for the classroom at Easter, Yoga classes and a £1,500 donation to the school’s upcoming outdoor learning project. We are always looking for new members to join the committee, there is no pressure on time commitment- you can help as much or as little as you wish! All of our events couldn’t take place without help from our volunteers, so even if you don’t have time to commit to attending our meetings, please get in touch if you are able to help.
